Ultimate Joy

Ultimate Joy

Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Those verses from Psalms 73 challenge me every day. I have to be honest. If I were to sit down right now and make a list of things I find joy in. God would not be my number one pick. He would be somewhere in the mix of the list which would include: My wife, family, relationships, money, and popularity. Even as I write this I am thinking about the cup of coffee I am drinking and how happy it makes me.
